PROMINENT businessman, Sam Matekane, on Tuesday announced the formation of a new political outfit that he says is the beginning of a process of changing the country’s economic system.

Matekane said his movement would rescue Lesotho from its current financial quandary and the possibility of turning into a failed state. He said this movement would also restore the nation’s hope in democracy.

The new movement, named Revolution for Prosperity, claims it will root out corruption, nepotism and also ensure equality of opportunities and inclusiveness.

The movement’s registration process with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is underway, and will with immediate effect go on a nationwide crusade to gather the electorate’s opinions to enable it to construct its manifesto.
