MASERU - Six more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded this weekend as the death toll climbs to 19, according to the latest updates from the ministry of health.

A total of 8 630 specimen have been tested to date following the addition of 530 this weekend while 29 new recoveries have been recorded adding up to a cumulative of 173.

There have been 114 newly confirmed cases which bring the total to 718.
The recent lockdown has enforced closure of liquor selling outlets countrywide, whilst the possibility of a travel ban across the districts is still being looked into.

Several other regulations have been imposed to control the rapid spread of the pandemic among locals and such include the banning of normal funerals and wedding ceremonies.
Despite the rampage spread, some members of the public have seemingly taken its existence for granted as they recklessly roam about disregarding the World Health Organisation (WHO)-recommended protocols.
