Cold weather conditions expected over weekend

This is according to a media statement issued by the Acting Director of LMS, Mokoena France.
“Cold weather conditions are anticipated from Saturday into Sunday night countrywide.
“The weather condition is also expected to be accompanied by a possibility of snowfall over the high-lying areas and a widespread of rainfall also expected,” Mr France also said.
For his part, the Butha-Buthe District Administrator, Tšepa Chaba said the ’Moteng Pass is so far still accessible, however warning the nation to take necessary precautions during this period.

He also urged the nation to stay tuned to local radio stations for frequent updates from the LMS.
The department was created in 1974 as a division within the Department of Hydrology and Meteorological services.
Its mission is to improve the livelihood of Lesotho through effective application of the science of Meteorology and harmonisation of their socio-economic activities with weather and climate. LeNA
