FORMER army chief Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli who is charged along with other soldiers for the murder of his successor Lt Gen Maaparankoe Mahao is expected before the High Court on November 24 when the case is due for mention.

The case has been put on hold as some of the accused including Motsamai Fako, Motšoane Machae and Tšitso Ramoholi have filed an appeal before the Court of Appeal after the High Court dismissed their application for the recusal of the presiding judge Justice Charles Hungwe.

But the appeal was also dismissed though the main trial cannot commence as there is yet another application filed before the Constitutional Court which is connected with the trial.

The constitutional matter is expected to be finalised by early December.

The other accused in the matter include Litekanyo Nyakane, Haleo Makara, Lekhooa Moepi, Marasi 'Moleli and Mohlalefi Seitlheko.
