When giving the opening address, Acting Chief Justice 'Maseforo Mahase said as Lesotho and a signatory of 20 ILO conventions, they cannot claim to be a nascent democracy that guards and promotes basic human rights, particularly the international labour standards. Justice Mahase encouraged both lawyers and courts, from the lowest to the highest echelons ,where circumstances permit ,to seek inspiration and develop their sources of labour law from the compendium of labour court decisions from across the world to enrich their jurisprudence. In order to promote exchanges of views and experiences, four Eswatini Judges dealing with labour matters were also invited to participate in the workshop. Lena
