MASERU - The Lesotho Congress for Democracy Youth League has applauded the long waited day for their leader Mr. Mothetjoa Metsing to arrive on November 25. The politician, exiled in South Africa, has reportedly decided to return home following numerous negotiations by the government for his safe return under conditions stipulated in a recent agreement on the reforms processes between the government and opposition parties.

Massive welcome expected for Metsing
“We are happy with the agreement and mostly delighted to welcome in style our leader, come the 25th. It would be of significance for him to participate in reforms aimed at improving the lives of Basotho,” said the LCD Youth League leader, Pusetso Montšo. Mr. Metsing fled the country in September 2017 claiming his life was in danger. However, the government believes he took off to escape being questioned by the Directorate on Corruption and Economy Offence (DCEO) on suspicious transactions in his bank accounts.
