PM irked about non-performing projects
Prime Minister Dr Moeketsi Majoro
This comes after the Minister of Development Planning Selibe Mochoboroane went around the country on project site visits between August 3 and September 12 to inspect performance and progress on the said projects.
Highlighting Mr Mochoboroane’s progress report, Dr Majoro said several challenges that appeared to hinder the implementation of the projects were identified.
Amongst them, he mentioned design flaws, corruption, lack of supervision and poor coordination by ministries during projects design as well as implementation.
The Prime Minister said the challenges mentioned hold back progress on the projects, adding that the longer such projects take, the more budget is needed for their implementation.

Some of these projects, according to Mr Mochoboroane’s progress report began as far back as 2013 but were never completed.
