QUTHING Police are currently investigating the deaths of three men who were killed at different incidents in Mphaki, Mokanametsong and Mphojoa on Christmas Day.

Senior Superintendent (S/Supt) 'Mamoipone Mohloai, the Quthing District Police Commander said all the three killings occurred at public bars at different times on Christmas Day.

“In the first incident, a 19 year old man from Ha Tlali in Mphaki was stabbed to death with a sharp object at Thabong public bar.
“In the second incident, a 33-year-old man from Mokanametsong was stabbed to death with a knife by a suspect who is still at large. The deceased was killed trying to stop a fight between a friend and the suspect who also stabbed the man with a knife. The injured man was admitted in hospital with serious stab wounds,” she said.

S/Supt Mohloai added: “In the third case, a 32-year-old man from Mphojoa was found dead under a nearby cliff with open wounds. He was last seen alive on Christmas night at a local bar where he was fighting with another man.”

Investigations into the three killings are underway, she said, adding that no arrests have yet been made. LeNA
