MASERU - The executive committee of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) met recently to discuss preparations and progress of the Maseru 2022 youth games.

According to a press release issued by the Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC), the deliberations dwelt on the status of preparations, infrastructure, funding strategy and practical organisation of the games, post four months of confinement due to the devastating Coronavirus pandemic.
The statement shows that amongst others, it was suggested that the games be postponed to 2023 or 2025 as a result of the negative impact posed by this novel virus.
