LESOTHO Football Association (LeFA) has announced that no player or official in the national squad, Likuena will be allowed anywhere near the team without first undergoing a COVID-19 test.

According to press statement released by the association this week, several COVID-19 tests will be conducted for the duration of the camp, after the squad’s locally based players resumed training last weekend in preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers next month.
The statement says all LeFA staff members based at the head office will undergo tests starting on Monday.

It further shows that 18 players plus seven officials as well as seven support staff who are likely to get in contact with the team have already tested negative when the camp commenced, adding that the confirmatory tests will be ran on Tuesday.

Likuena are due to play back to back AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone's Lone Stars as well as Nigeria's Super Eagles next month in Group L, which also consists of the Squirrels of Benin.
