VODACOM Premier League pacesetters, Matlama maintained their impressive run with a 1-0 win over LDF at the weekend, to remain eight points ahead of Bantu at the summit of the table.

Lerotholi Zwane scored the solitary goal to hand the league leaders their 16th win from their 20 games played so far in the 2020/2021 campaign.

Tse-Putsoa, who are the most successful team in the local premier league with 10 league titles are vying for their 11th trophy, but have Bantu and LDF breathing down their neck in the race for the championship.

The Molebatsi Mothobi-coached side is on a three-match unbeaten bender having also registered victories over Swallows and Kick4life.

Matlama sit at the summit of the Vodacom Premier League table with 50 points while second-placed Bantu have 42 points and LDF are third with 37.

Elsewhere, defending champions Bantu returned to their winning ways this past weekend with a comfortable 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Sefotha-Fotha.

Attacking midfielder, Tšepang Sefali who is part of the Likuena provisional squad of local-based players, netted a brace to hand Thabo Tsutsulupa his first win since taking over the Mafeteng-based side.

A-Matšo-Matebele’s previous two games had ended in draws against Linare and LCS before finally getting it right against Sefotha-Fotha.

There was also a victory for the now inconsistent Lioli, who overcame a scare from Swallows with a 2-1 victory over the struggling Mazenod-based outfit.

Tse-Nala are currently on fifth position and have the same number of points with LCS on fourth place. Both teams have so far collected 34 points though Masheshena have a game in hand.

They are joined in the relegation dogfight by Lifofane and Likhopo, who each managed to grind a point against CCX and Linare respectively.
