BOTHA-BOTHE – The Minister of Finance Dr Moeketsi Majoro says the completion of 16 factory shells at the Ha Belo factory site in Botha-Bothe will create 14 500 jobs for Basotho.

Dr Majoro was speaking on Friday during a site visit at the site where he was accompanied by his trade and industry counterpart along with a crew from the Lesotho National Development Cooperative (LNDC).

The minister said in the past years, financing the Belo and Tikoe industrial sites had always been postponed, adding the projects were only considered for financing in the past financial year. He said upon completion of construction of the shells, local entrepreneurs would be given the opportunity to finish building the remaining shells which are 51 in number.
