MASERU – The matter in which five senior police officers who are charged along with the former defence minister Tšeliso Mokhosi for the murder of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng is expected to continue on Monday.

KC Zwelakhe Mda represents some of the accused
The case was postponed last Friday after the lawyers representing the accused failed to appear before the High Court judge Justice Charles Hungwe. The court was informed that two of the lawyers, King’s Counsel Zwelakhe Mda and Karabo Mohau were not well.
The accused include Senior Superintendent Thabo Tšukulu, Senior Inspector Mabitle Matona, Inspector Mothibeli Mofolo, Sub-Inspector Haleokoe Taasoane and Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Tšeliso Moerane.

They are charged along with the former commissioner of police Molahlehi Letsoepa who is still at large. It is alleged that the accused murdered PC Khetheng on March 26, 2016 in Ha Mokhalinyane on the outskirts of Maseru.
