The accused include Brigadier Rapele Mphaki, retired Colonel Khutlang Mochesane, Mahanyane Phusumane, Nyatso Tšoeunyane and Maribe Nathane.
Although Advocate Rethabile Setlojoane who prosecutes on behalf of the Crown was ready to proceed, the defence, however had some objections in respect of some issues connected to the case.
Both parties consequently agreed to address those issues first before proceeding with the trial.

Senior Resident Magistrate Peter Murenzi also agreed that the defence concerns could not be overlooked, hence they needed to be attended to accordingly.
Murenzi therefore gave the two sides a week to file relevant papers starting from March 13, after which their arguments would be heard and ruling made before the case resumes.
Both Advocates Letuka Molati and Kabelo Letuka represent the five accused military men.
