IN a new twist of things, a recent cabinet reshuffle has seen the Minister of Labour and Employment Keketso Rantšo along with her Defence and National Security Services counterpart, Prince Maliehe been relieved of their duties as ministers.

The former Minister of Labour and Employment Keketso Rantšo
Ms Rantšo has been replaced by Deputy Minister of Local Government Moshe Leoma while MP Lekhetho Mosito has taken Mr Maliehe’s place.
Besides the new appointments, the office of the Prime Minister on Thursday also announced the reshuffle of both ministers and principal secretaries.
Another new face in the cabinet belongs to Selemo Mangobe who has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Local Government.
The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology Chief Thesele ’Maseribane has been moved to the Ministry of Small Business, Cooperatives and Marketing, swapping places with Keketso Sello.
The Minister of Forestry and Land Reclamation Motlohi Maliehe has moved to the Ministry of Public Service.
Mr Maliehe’s place has been taken by Motlatsi Maqelepo who was the Minister of Health and who is now the forestry minister.
Mr Maqelepo has been replaced by Semano Sekatle who was the Minister of Public Service.
Principal Secretaries who have been affected by the reshuffle include Bereng Makotoko from the communications ministry who moved to the small business ministry, exchanging places with Tankiso Phapano.
Thabo Motoko moved from the public service cabinet administration while Advocate Mole Kumalo left forest to join public service.

The former Minister of Defence and National Security Services Prince Maliehe
Lefu Manyokole left the NSS to join the forestry while Emmanuel Lesoma moved from labour to the Ministry of Police, changing places with Matela Thabane.
Dr Moeketsi Ntho left the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture to join the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sports and Recreation, exchanging places with Moliehi Moejane. Dr Neo Liphoto has moved from cabinet administration to the NSS.
Other changes are that all pensions operations except civil pensions have been transferred from the Ministry of Finance to the Ministry of Social Development while the agricultural marketing department has moved from the small business ministry to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
