PREMIER League giants Matlama and Bantu will meet in a clash of the titans’ game at the Setsoto stadium on Sunday.

A Matšo Matebele’s spokesperson Bokang Phasumane said they are looking for nothing but victory over Tse Putsoa in order to maintain their unbeaten run in the Vodacom Premier League log.

He said their approach is not going to change now that they will be playing second-placed Matlama.

The two arch-rivals are separated by six points with the Mafeteng-based outfit confidently perched at the top of the Premier League log.

Phasumane said he has an injury free squad except Lindokuhle Mkwananzi who has been side-lined for some time now due to a nagging injury.

He said because there are no suspensions, Coach Bob Mavuso will be spoiled for choice on Sunday.
Bantu's intentions this season he said are to win all their games in order to finish the season with a 100 percent win record.

However, his Matlama counterpart, Tankiso Moletsane was equally confident saying the only way that Matlama could close the six point gap with Bantu is by winning the Sunday game.

The Sea-Point-based side sacked their former head coach Charles Manda earlier this month after losing two consecutive matches against Linare 2-0 and LDF 2-1.

The Malawian has since joined Lijabatho of Morija as their new head coach.

Moletsane said since Manda’s departure, they have won all the three matches they played.
“We have no injuries or suspensions, therefore the coaches will have a huge pool of players to choose from on Sunday,” he said.

The rivalry between the two arch rivals intensified during the previous season when Bantu were crowned champions halfway through the league at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matlama who were in second position challenged the decision but they lost. LeNA
