THE recently crowned Miss Teen Lesotho 2021, Keneuoe Talanyane is a lady of many talents as she also happens to be a seasoned ballroom and Latin dancer.

The stunning 19-year-old beauty walked away with the coveted crown on October 9, at Victoria Hotel in Maseru against 10 other beauties.

The crowd went wild with revelry as Talanyane strutted her way to victory down the hotel’s catwalk.

It later emerged that the new queen is also a talented dancer who is key member of the National University of Lesotho (NUL) Ballroom and Latin Dance Club.
Born and bred in Khubetsoana, Maseru, Talanyane, popularly known as Nelly scooped a gold medal at the 2016 Open Queen's Cup Dancesport Championship held at the Lehakoe Recreation Centre in Maseru.
"I have been a determined fanatic of ballroom and Latin dance since my high school days at Saule (Lesotho High School). But I have never able to participate in as many competitions as I would have loved to due to school commitments and having to juggle between dancing and competing in beauty contests,” Talanyane says.

The second-year NUL Public Administration and Political Science student adds: "On a professional note, I aspire to become a multinational entrepreneur."

The annual Miss Teen Lesotho beauty pageant which celebrates local teenagers who have a purpose in life is open for young ladies aged between 13 and 19.

Talanyane confidently outsmarted Liteboho Khasipe who was crowned first princess and the second princess, Bohlokoa Lekeno in the finals of the 2021 edition of the Miss Teen Lesotho competition.

Talanyane was the first princess in the 2018 Miss Saule (Lesotho High School) beauty contest and the Miss Independence 2018 after winning the Best Personality title.
